Yes folks its time for a change.
After a year or so with ProductionStudios, I am now hosted by
Deskmod.com. I have been an active member of the Deskmod Community for
just over a year now.
I would like to thank iMike and Matrix for the hosting and for TonkaToy for his previous hosting and help.

Hey everyone. Sorry for the lack of updates for a while. I've been busy with Deskmod.
I've had a wonderful year with Deskmod. Not only was I their featured
user in their December newsletter, I hit their top10 most active list
on Christmas Eve and now I'm 3rd out of 46810 user accounts with 3353
points! You can view my stats here. I really to recommend Deskmod, such a great community.
Now
on to my own site. I've added 5 new wallpapers in the Art section. I've
updated my Desktop screenshot, updated the pic of the day, and replaced
the navigation logo button at the top.

Yes folks, after being online since
December 1995 RNDnet will shortly reach its 5000th hit. I would like to
thank everyone for supporting RNDnet over the years, Ive certainly
learnt a lot in that time and the current design bares no relation to
the first one I did (which sadly I do not have a copy of).
I would be grateful if the person who hits the 5000 mark could take a screenshot and Ill put it on the POTD.

I've been using Linux for a few years
now and enjoy using it as an alternative to Windows. Trouble with Linux
is that apart from navigating the GUI other things arent easy.
Take
watching DVDs for example. Although a DVD player is included with
Mandrake Linux it doesnt include the necessary libaries to actually
watch DVDs. You have to compile and install several sets of libraries
before you can watch DVDs. See the Linux section for the full story.

Yes folks, changed the default design
again! Hope you like this one. Of course if you dont, you can use the
configure page to change it to one you like. Failing that you are
welcome to make one yourself :)
I recently installed Mandrake 9
on my secondary hard disk so have updated the Desktop page with new
screenshots of both XP and linux.

Found several issues which needed to
be fixed so rewrote the code from scratch. If you spot any problems,
please leave me a message with the nature of the problem and where it
was located. Please also mention what browser you were using.
Currently only the Blue and RNDnetPro site skins work, I will fix the others soon.

After using the skinning feature of
my site for a while I have found that it appears to have problems on
some setups with unsecure cookies or code errors. With this in mind I
have changed the code that handles the skinning and cookies
I took this opportunity to change somethings like reduce the number of frames used and add some new features.

year and they decided to have a staffing level review and decided in
their wisdom they didnt need me. I sure thatl make the remaining staff
happy as they have to take on my work heh. Anyway Im free to look for

New news system for RaNDom Networks

If youve been keeping an eye on RaNDom Networks recently you've probably been wondering whats the deal with the news page.
A
friend of mine (Mike) has installed News Pro. This system makes it
easier for admins to submit and update news items. We had some fun
setting it up (well Mike did mostly!) but its finally ready for use.
Respects go to Mike for his hard work and perseverance in getting the
system working. There are further addons available for News Pro, so we
may install these at a later date. Oh and you dont need to enter a
password when you make a comment, that is for admins only.
Other
updates: updated desktop, uploaded another wallpaper, reorganized the
links page. All the older news has been archived (see link at top of
this page).
